RESOURCE GUIDE

Chapter 4, American Academy of Pediatrics, Injury Prevention
Program Resource Guide.
Inclusion Criteria:

Non-profit, for profit and governmental agencies may apply.

Each organization’s mission statements
must encompass the educational services they provide and
not be solely product sales oriented.

All organization’s educational messages and products will
be consistent with American Academy of Pediatrics policies and
guidelines. If guidelines are not present for a specific
area, current best practice must be followed. This also applies
to federal, state and local codes, laws and voluntary standards,
where applicable. If your organization follows a different set
of guidelines, please describe them in the “summary” on
the application form.

Organizations must have been active in injury prevention for
at least one year.

Organizations are not limited to those with offices located
in Orange County, as long as they provide resources and/or services
to Orange County residents.
- If certifications are required as part of best
practice for a certain area of expertise, these certifications
are necessary for inclusion in the applicant’s program description (example: Certified
Child Passenger Safety Technician).
APPLICATION PROCESS:
- All Organizations will complete the application form online
at www.ockeepkidssafe.org (click
onto Resource Guide).
- Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Accepted
organizations will be added to the Resource Guide monthly.
