As a leader in early education and family support programs in Orange County, OCPT is committed to providing family-friendly, community-based child development programs that enhance children's growth, strengthen families, and foster healthy communities. For nearly thirty-five years, OCPT has provided the highest quality early childhood education and family support programs to over 8,500 high-risk children and their families living in the cities of Orange and Tustin. Since our inception in 1967 as a Head Start summer program in the El Modena area, OCPT has grown in size, scope and quality to become fully accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Today, OCPT serves as a model for providing cost-effective, high quality comprehensive child and family development services including; preschool education (kindergarten readiness), medical, dental and behavior health care, parent involvement and advocacy activities, nutrition and food services, and family support services to economically disadvantaged children and children with special needs. OCPT currently serves more than 450 at-risk children and their families at six child development centers; three in the El Modena area of Orange, one at Lampson Elementary School in east Garden Grove, one at Cambridge Elementary School, one at California Elementary School, and one at the Tustin Youth and Family Center.
