Description of program

The mission of the Orange County SAFE KIDS Coalition is to reduce and prevent deaths and injuries to children ages 14 and under from drowning, home injuries, sports and recreational injuries and transportation injuries. Coalition membership includes key community stakeholders in Orange County including: advocates, educators, law enforcement, parents and volunteers, public health, businesses fire departments, medical and health care professionals, policymakers, and school officials. The coalition has developed a strategic plan with four working groups including Traffic Safety, Sports and Recreational Injuries, Home Safety and Drowning Prevention.
