The Drowning Prevention Network is a consortium of agencies and individuals all working toward the same goal: reducing toddler drownings and near-drownings. Activities include community education, particularly through the media; research and advocacy. Members include parents of children who've drowned; fire, police and rescue agencies; health professionals; a representative of the CPSC; representatives of companies in the business of pool safety, and other interested individuals. The DPN is a separate organization, but works under the auspices of Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). Meetings are hosted by CHOC. The contact at CHOC, and for Three Tragic Seconds program, is Michelle Feczko, (949) 364-4865 or mfeczko@choc.org.
