Description of program

Children are our nation's and the world's most precious product. They have rights to health and safety. The goal of Health Options is to promote the health and safety of all children by empowering their parents and children to learn tools to increase their knowledge about being healthy, safe and secure. Unintentional injuries are predictable and preventable. Health and safety are learned and learning is easy for families when programs are designed based on their needs and their individual learning styles. Programs include: Survival Skills Camp 4 Kids (8-10 and 11-13 year olds)an interactive program for youth that teaches personal safety tools; Holding Down the Fort (parents, guardians, babysitters, and grandparents) a two hour program that helps adults prepare their children to stay safe and secure while alone at home; Building Blocks 4 Baby Sitters (11-13 year olds) an interactive 2 hour program that teaches the rights and responsibilities of the beginning sitter.
