The CHOC Mobile Safety House is a fifty-seven foot mobile truck and trailer designed to teach parents and caregivers of children ages 0-5 home safety techniques. This innovative program is constructed utilizing Orange County data, based on the unintentional home injuries seen in Orange County. The CHOC Mobile Safety House is visually designed to resemble a safe home teaching parents and caregivers how and why children get injured in the home, while offering skills and techniques on how to make homes safer for children. Upon touring the CHOC Mobile Safety House, visitors are given a resource guide that includes a take home safety checklist as well as a take home safety device. Safety devices are also available at a low cost at the CHOC Shop, which can be viewed at www.choc.org.
